Healthy Vanilla Ice Cream

This treat is an actual superfood and absolutely delicious!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cup raw milk
  • 1 1//2 cup raw cream
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/3 cup raw local honey or maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract we use homemade
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.
  2. Pour into ice cream machine and churn for about 20 minutes until it reaches your desired consistency.
  3. Enjoy by itself or top with homemade chocolate chip einkorn cookies or fresh fruit!

Notes

Store the ice cream maker bowl in the freezer anytime you're not using it so that you don't have to plan a day in advance and put it in the freezer the day before making ice cream. It's always ready to make ice cream that way.
Because this doesn't have antifreeze in it, this ice cream may freeze really hard after a couple days in the freezer. 
Homemade ice cream also melts faster.
